For the first time ever our popular Manilla Gorilla tee has been recreated in grey marl. The tee was originally worn by Muhammad Ali in the run up to his fight with Joe Frazier. The fight took place on October 1st, 1975 at Areneta Stadium, Manilla, where the two men were competing for the World Heavyweight title. Five years previously Frazier had won a fight, and now Ali was back to show the world who was boss. This time around, he was victorious, and though his fights always provided fantastic theatrical value, the lead-up could prove even better. Ali aptly named this heated fight 'The Thriller in Manilla' and mockingly referred to Frazier as the 'Gorilla'.
