Patti Smith was a highly influential member of the New York punk movement of the mid 70s, and is affectionately referred to as the 'Godmother of Punk'.

Eat the Rich has become a catch phrase for many anti-capitalist songs, the most notable of which came from Motorhead in '87. The phrase came up in the late 60s and has been on tees worn by the likes of Patti Smith and the Ramones.
