Why must the Youth Fight Against Themself? This emotive question lies at the heart of The Specials' highest charting hit, 'Ghost Town'. Topping the charts for three weeks in 1981, it reflects the unsettled times caused by the large-scale unemployment that Thatcher's Britain faced in the 80's. It was banned from airplay at the time but has since been rightly placed as one of the greatest pop commentaries of its day.
